Breathe Life Named to InsurTech 100
Specialist research firm, FinTech Global, began compiling lists of the top 100 most innovative global InsurTech companies in 2018, the year Breathe Life was founded. Two years later, we are honored to have made the 2020 list, which was chosen by a panel of analysts and industry experts that voted on the top 100 from a list of more than 1,200 InsurTech companies.
Quite an accomplishment for a relatively young company, but also one of many milestones that the Breathe Life team has accomplished in two eventful years.
In its announcement of this year’s InsurTech 100 winners, FinTech Global director @richard_sachar noted that, “Established insurance companies need to be aware of the latest innovation in the market in order to remain competitive in the market post Covid-19 which is heavily focused on digital distribution and increased use of customer data.”
We couldn’t agree more, which is why Breathe Life is laser focused on providing life insurance carriers with a data-driven approach to digital distribution. Even before the global pandemic, consumer purchasing habits had changed and insurance carriers and producers were struggling to keep pace with the changes. And consumers were becoming increasingly frustrated by how difficult it can be to purchase life insurance products.
These are some of the big challenges that Breathe Life was founded to solve, with data at the center of everything we do. Our eApp provides a suite of digital tools that empower producers including advisors, agents, and financial reps, streamlining the management of leads, customers, and insurance applications. We also provide life insurance carriers with omnichannel self-service tools that enable modern direct-to-consumer sales to meet modern consumers on their own terms.
As a result, carriers across North America are using the Breathe Life platform to achieve double-digit sales increases while reducing costs by almost one third.
As we head into the final stretch of 2020, it’s gratifying to look back on the past two years. In this time, we’ve developed an award-winning digital distribution platform. We’ve partnered with many innovative insurance carriers and distributors, including Faith Life, which recently tapped Breathe Life to power its digital distribution for the next decade. We’ve secured $16 M CAD in financing and grown our team with the addition of several key roles, including a new Chief Client Officer position. We’ve also been selected to participate in accelerator programs for promising companies, including the NY InsurTech Accelerator program and C100 48 Hours in the Valley.
We’re honored to be recognized as one of the top 100 InsurTech companies addressing digital transformation challenges and opportunities in the insurance industry. 2020 has been both a challenging and rewarding year for Breathe Life, and we wouldn’t have it any other way!
