Next Monday, Pete, our Head of Sales and Distribution, and Maher our Business Development Associate are heading to Des Moines, Iowa to represent Breathe Life at the Global Insurance Accelerator’s InsurTech Week. We were one of the 17 InsurTechs selected and it’s guaranteed to be an exciting five days packed with pitches, meetings, and opportunities.

InsurTech Week is essentially an opportunity for the insurance industry to get to spend several days participating in innovation activities with the 17 selected InsurTechs.

We sat down with Pete to find out what the top three reasons are that he is most looking forward to heading to the GIA in Des Moines.  The biggest reason is that Des Moines is the heartbeat of the insurance industry in the United States and this will offer Pete and Maher a chance to reconnect with all of the people and carriers that Breathe Life has met across the country. Participating in Plug and Play events, displaying at ITC, and networking at multiple industry conferences has meant that we have formed a long list of connections over the last year and are looking forward to being on their home turf and getting a chance to continue building on these relationships.

The second reason that Pete is pumped to head to Des Moines is to be able to really prove to carriers the value that Breathe Life can bring. He will be presenting the Breathe Life vision on stage, but will also be meeting one-on-one with carriers to prove to them that the Breathe Life platform can quickly help them transform to sell digitally. We have seen our carriers increase sales by 18%,  first-year premiums by 26% and decrease customer acquisition costs by 33%, and all within the first few months of using the platform. We want to help other carriers achieve this, and quickly.

Finally, Pete and Maher are looking forward to immersing themselves in the InsurTech ecosystem that the GIA has built and really getting to know the other startups and developing partnerships across the space.  If you’ll be at the GIA next week and want to connect, send Pete a message – And if you can’t make it, you can listen to his interview on the Insurance Nerds Podcast sometime in the next few weeks. We’ll also be at the LIMRA Annual Conference at the end of the month and our CEO, Ian Jeffrey, will be taking part in a fireside chat with Jim Kerley about how carriers can leverage InsurTech to help them sell more policies, faster.
